Boxee forced to remove Hulu - The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)

This pisses me off tremendously. I haven’t mentioned boxee before on stitchrobot because frankly it’s in beta and not quite ready for primetime but what it did was let you turn anything from an old xbox to an appletv into a very capable media center with tons of online content. Hulu was one of those wonderful sources of content.

saddly despite the huge leap of intelligence that creating hulu.com (a website that streams most popular TV shows) the networks still don’t get that trying to hard too control anything only alienates viewers. oh well it’s back to downloading their shows and not watching ads*
