Solution for an Invalid Gamername on Plus+ on an iPhone
This is a fairly niche problem. But if it helps anyone then i will have done my good deed.
Jailbroken iPhones and iPod Touches have gotten a bad rap lately. Most people assume that the only reason to jailbreak an iphone is to install cracked apps when in fact there are a slew of very useful, legitimate apps and hacks that make the device that much more useful. One such hacks is adblock or any other variation of cydia apps that modify the host files on your iphone to block ads.
It’s these apps that are responsible for people having issues with creating a Gamername on Plus+ or Openfeint not working at all.
So the fix, uninstall any Cydia mods meant to block ads. For now at least if you want achievement tracking with Plus+ or Openfeint you must deal with ads.
